The โNegotiation Tableโ involves sharing a soup on an unstable table, which balances back and forth, like a seesaw on a playground. Your every movement has weight, making it crucial to handle the meal with care and tenderness to keep both participants fed and clean.
Your and your partnerโs tiny body movements will give you a chance to resolve conflict or misunderstandings through the empathy you show one another.โ
Maria Leonenkoย @marileonenkoย is a visual artist, performer, queer and feminist from Kyiv, Ukraine. Her practice is influenced by conceptual and participative art, and she develops the concepts of Relational Aesthetics and Social Practice, mostly through the optic of the ongoing war in Ukraine. Leonenkoโs works in sculpture, video, and site-specific installations are a reflection of her deep commitment to exploring the complex interplay between art and society. Her practice is characterized by an engagement with the political and social issues of our time.
